If you watch Jersey Shore, you'll know that "Sammi Sweetheart" and Stacy, who called in for To Catch a Cheater had a lot in common today. They both got letters saying their men were cheating! Stacy called in because she said her fiance' Vince has supposedly cheated on her, and she knows this because she got an anonymous note about when he was out for his buddy's birthday. When Mark and Anna called Vince and offered the infamous romantic getaway to him, he said he wanted to bring Veronica, not his fiance' Stacy. Well obviously Vince has been cheating with Veronica since he met her out at his friend's birthday party. Needless to say, Stacy was crushed, and I feel terrible for her. Such a shame that people can't stay faithful when they finally become engaged or married! This brings up the topic that whether or not it's better to give an anonymous note if you know someone is being cheated on, or to tell the person face to face. A lot of you said that the anonymous note is the way to go, but Anna and I would rather have our friend tell us to face-to-face, especially if they have proof, like a picture or something. Obviously if someone is a true friend, your friendship will be just fine if you're only looking out for them. Mark thinks people should just stay out of it and stick with the anonymous note.

So, we had someone write in to tell us about a weird thing that's happening in her life. Her name is Shirley, and she says that the guy she is with for some reason calls out his own name during...yeah, ya know. Instead of calling out another girl's name on accident or what not, he calls out his own. Mark and Anna made a good point that maybe the guy does it just so he doesn't accidently call out a different woman's name, etc. I think this is just bizarre, if anyone actually does this I'd like to know the real reason! Some of you who called in had some other interesting opinions on this one...

Did you hear what Mark and his wife call each other?! He says they love the Jersey Shore, so they decided to come up with their own nicknames..."PWow" and "The Dealio." I think it's hilarious, but Mark says a lot of people roleplay or what not. Anna thinks roleplaying is gross! Alot of you said you're definitely into the whole roleplay thing.

Mark and Anna talked to Usher this morning! He's going to be in Daytona Beach this weekend for the American Music Festival and we have tickets all week! If you missed the interview, check it out!

Ok so there are a lot of people out there who would do anything for money....but Anna says she would not kiss certain celebrities for $1 MILLION dollars! For most of the celebrities, I completely agree that I definitely wouldn't kiss some of the "less attractive" ones either. Some of them were Lil' Wayne (especially because his teeth are supposedly rotting underneath his grill!), Spencer Pratt (EW), Flava Flav, and the list goes on! I have no idea what's going on in some of their mouths, there's no way I'd kiss some of those people.

Tomorrow we have another chance to qualify for the Vegas trip to see Katy Perry at 7AM, plus more tickets to see Usher at the American Music Festival in Daytona Beach this weekend! See ya tomorrow!

Monday, August 30, 2010 - No More Frat Shirts!

This morning's Intervention was pretty funny. Courtney called in and said she wants to do an Intervention for her brother Jason, because he is 27 years old and still wears his college fraternity t-shirts. She thinks he needs to get rid of them, but Anna thinks it's ridiculous that she even called in for this! Anna thinks it's totally fine that Jason still wears his shirts, but Mark says those shirts have got to go. Obviously it's fine if he has them, but don't wear them out in public! Someone called in with a good analogy - you don't wear your high school letterman's jacket after you graduate high school (at least I hope not!) so you shouldn't still be wearing your college frat shirts either. I completely agree with Mark and Courtney on this one. I was in a sorority, and the only time I ever wear my sorority t-shirts are to bed and sometimes to the gym, but I would never wear them out in public like to dinner or out with friends, etc. Some of you were completely fine with it like Anna, but other's were on Mark and I's side!

Tomorrow we have another chance to qualify for a trip to Vegas for Katy Perry's private show! Plus we have tickets to the American Music Festival where Usher will be performing! See ya tomorrow!

Friday, August 27, 2010 - Ashley's Boyfriend Lives with a Chick!

Alright, alright so everyone seemed to really have an opinion about the fact that my boyfriend is moving in to a house with a girl....But she has a boyfriend, and there is 3 other guys living in the house! Obviously someone might wonder why a girl is living in a house with guys just because girls in general seem to have a reputation of being flirty and careless regardless if the guy is married, has a girlfriend, etc - especially if they are partying or what not....But anyways, I do trust Tony, and I know he wouldn't do anything, but girls are the ones that can sometimes instigate situations. And it's not even the girl roommate I really even have to worry about since she has a boyfriend, but it's the friends she might have over, or the friends that his single roommates has over....haha. Anyways, many of you tried calling in and saying that I don't trust Tony, but I'll go ahead and shoot that down because it's not the case! And others of you called and definitely understood why I am apprehensive...Oh well, everyone can have their own opinion!

Today we had another To Catch a Cheater, and these people were nuts! I mean I understand how you would be absolutely LIVID if you found out your spouse was cheating, but....this was intense! Audrey called in because she found cigarettes with lipstick on them when she was taking the trash out. Well Audrey says she doesn't wear that reddish-orange color lipstick, and they for sure were not cigarettes she smoked, plus she works every Saturday night which is when she thinks her husband cheated! When Mark called Audrey's husband, Chris, he fell for the setup and wanted to bring a woman named Cheryl to the romantic getaway and not Audrey. I just don't understand how some people would be so open on the radio, while thousands of people are listening! Audrey automatically went nuts on the phone when she heard Chris say Cheryl's name and she started threatening him with a lot of nasty....Some of you said after hearing Audrey go crazy you're not surprised Chris cheated on her! I've said it before and I'll say it again....there's no excuse for cheating...if you're going to cheat, don't get married in the first place if you're not done with your fun!

Wednesday, August 25, 2010 - Should The Man Ask Father's Permission to Marry Daughter?

Ok, so if you've been keeping track of our Real Housewives of Ponte Vedra episodes, it's getting more intense and to be honest I never thought these women would come from right down the road in Ponte Vedra. Well Janine refused to talk to Katherine anymore, but Janine's friend Jody called in for her instead. Jody had no problem expressing her feelings towards Katherine that's for sure. The conversation was pretty ridiculous and Katherine is pretty much over hearing all of the nonsense people talk about her!

If you listened yesterday, you remember that Anna's birthday is coming up and that Mark thinks her boyfriend is going to propose...or at least Mark presented the idea to Anna. Anna said she didn't know what he was getting her, etc. Anyways, well Anna said her dad mentioned before that if she were to marry Ray, he didn't want to know about it until after. Well apparently Anna's dad was listening, and he emailed her right away and said he does want Ray to ask permission before he proposes! So anyways, Mark says that he didn't ask his wife's father for approval, and he thinks it's not necessary to ask the father anymore. Anna thinks it's the proper thing to do and the father should be asked. I definitely agree with Anna, if the guy I marry doesn't ask my dad, I would find that highly disrespectful of my father, especially since he's the one that would be giving me "away" at the wedding. Most of you all agreed with Anna and I and said the man better ask the father!

Tuesday, August 24, 2010 - Does An Engagement Ring Count As a Gift?!

Ok, so first of all today we talked about Facebook and people hacking onto other people's accounts. Well Mark said he used to work with someone who would go on and check their ex-boyfriend's Facebook account to see who he was talking to, etc. Apparently there aren't as many of you out there as we thought that would be trying to snoop around on your girlfriend or boyfriend's Facebook!

So Anna's birthday is this weekend, and she says her boyfriend won't tell her what he got her, but he says it's nothing big. He won't tell her when she's getting it either (since he lives out of town, she doesn't know if he's mailing it, etc.) So anyways, Mark says what if it's an engagement ring?! Mark says if her boyfriend does propose on her birthday, he better get her a separate present for her birthday too. I somewhat agree with Mark. Well first of all, I wouldn't want to be proposed to on my birthday or any other holiday because those are already special holidays. I want a special day to call my own, that's what makes it special and separate from any other day. Anyways, Anna says that since he is flying in for her birthday, that is a good enough present right there. She says the air fare is expensive and she is perfectly ok with her present being her boyfriend basically. Many of you called in who agreed with Mark, or agreed with Anna, and I still am somewhat on Mark's side with this one.

Monday, August 23, 2010 - Put On Some Makeup!

Mark and Anna were talking about how it's back to school today for a lot of Jacksonville students! Anna said she used to get so excited to go school shopping and get all new clothes, but Mark says schools should make everyone wear uniforms. Anna says no way, because people want to be individuals and what not. I went to a public school my entire life and never had to wear a uniform. I remember at one point in high school the topic came up at the school board and we all got irritated that they were considering that! But now that I look back, I agree there are some benefits to making everyone wear uniforms, but the public school, no uniform side of me also wants to wear whatever I want. Everyone had their opinion on this one!

Today's Intervention was absolutely ridiculous. Robert called in and said his girlfriend Sally never wears makeup and it really bothers him because he can see bags under her eyes, etc. Umm, I can't believe someone actually had the nerve to call and complain about someone not wearing makeup! Especially her own boyfriend! Usually it's more of a problem when someone wears too much makeup, but not any at all? There are a lot of girls out there though that don't need any makeup at all, so for Robert to actually complain about it and want Sally to wear more is pretty ridiculous! On the other hand, I do think women should maintain their appearances, and some women do look better with a little bit of makeup. That doesn't give anyone the right however to tell someone they need to wear more makeup, especially a boyfriend that should love her no matter what....

Friday, August 13, 2010 - Couples Sleeping in Separate Beds

Ok, so after Anna said the other day that she wouldn't live with her boyfriend before marriage, that stirred up some conversations about sleeping with someone before marriage, etc. Well somehow, one of our callers got on the topic about how she is married, and she and her husband don't even sleep together! She called in and said they just can't sleep together, and Mark and Anna actually found out from a recent sleep study that 1 in 4 married couples actually sleep in separate beds! The phone calls poured in this morning after we heard from this lady, and the statistics seem pretty accurate! Many of you said you've been married for a number of years (one woman even said she's been married 24 years) and that you never sleep in the same bed! I was so surprised to hear from so many of you that have successful and happy marriages, but you just can't sleep together. Whatever reason it was, either snoring or just not enough room in your bed, it seems like the old fashioned concept of sleeping in separate beds is as prevalent as ever! Mark completely understands why people sleep separate because he says at least one parent needs to get a good night's rest, and if it means you have to sleep separate, then so be it. Anna thinks it's weird that people would do that. I am on the fence with this one, because I do think especially when you're married you would expect to always sleep together. But I can definitely see how it would just be too exhausting if one of you is not getting enough sleep.

So if you've ever gotten a coupon, you usually expect to get what it says you can get with the coupon, right? Mark went into a popular lingerie store with a coupon for a free panty that his wife got in the mail, and when he picked the free panty from the table they told them he could choose from, he got a nice green colored pair. Well, when he got up to the register, the woman told him that he couldn't get that color with the coupon he had, even though the coupon said it was all sizes and colors! Mark thinks he got jipped, and wanted to know why the heck would a different color panty be a different price, or not free like the others? The options he could choose from were the neutrals, like white, black, tan, etc. Well we finally got an answer from one of our callers who says she used to work at this store, and the reason it wasn't free is because it's a new color for the season! Thanks for the explanation!

This morning's To Catch a Cheater brought us Julia, who found another woman's number in her fiance' Michael's phone. Julia called in because she wanted Mark to call the number she found which was listed as Amber, and she had never heard of Michael ever knowing anyone named Amber. Apparently not only did Julia find Amber's number in his phone, but she also found text messages between the two that really made her suspicious. Julia wanted to see if Mark Kaye could get Amber to admit that she was with her husband Michael. And of course, when Mark called Amber and offered her a romantic dinner, she wanted to bring a guest named Michael ______. Yep, the same Michael who is engaged to our listener Julia who called in. Julia thought that Amber sounded a little young over the phone, and Amber said she will be 20 soon! Julia freaked out even more because Michael is 42. Anyways, everyone started calling in saying it was all Michael's fault for cheating on his fiancee', and others of you said that it was all Amber's fault for even getting with Michael because she knew he was in a relationship! Amber was pretty harsh going off on Julia for being "over the hill" when she was only in her early 40's! Anyways, I personally feel that whoever is in the commited relationship is the one to blame, because they are the one with the commitment to another person. Obviously there are always going to be some girls running around town who don't care whether or not the guy's in a relationship, so it comes down to the person in the relationship making the decision to cheat.

Anna thinks it is NOT ok to live with someone before you're married to them. She says she doesn't care what anyone else does within their relationships, but she will not do it. Mark says that not living together is absolutely ridiculous. On this one I do have to agree with Mark, just because I feel like you don't get to know someone 110% until you have lived with them and you learn their living habits. Regardless of how long you've been together, you don't know how they actually live every single day in every aspect by just going back and forth from their house to yours. Obviously everyone on this topic is going to have their own opinion or belief, and we had a lot of people call in today who agreed with Mark and also some with Anna. I've always loved one of the quotes that one of my best friend's mom says which is, "You don't buy the car until you test drive it." Someone else had a great one this morning which is my new fav. for this situation..."You don't buy the shoes without trying them on." That's more fitting for me :)

Mark was telling us this morning about this story he heard on the news about this flight attendant who was with Jet Blue who just couldn't handle the disrespect anymore! His name's Steven Slater, and he apparently was over being disrespected and disregarded, so he made a big exit like no other....It all started when a woman stood up to get her bag out of the overhead bin before the pilot turned off the seatbelt sign....so Steven asked the woman to please sit back down until the pilot turns the seatbelt light off....she ignored him, continued to bring the bag down, and actually hit him on the head with her bad as she was removing it from the bin. Needless to say, this is what sent Steven over the top - he went off on a tangent by yelling over the speaker curse words to the entire cabin, then took beers from the airplane, and slid out the emergency evacuation slide on the plane. Well after all that, when the police went to catch him at his house, he was caught in a sexual act with his partner to top it all off! End result = he could face up to 7 years in prison for all his shenangians.

Are bachelor parties becoming a little boring these days? Anna's boyfriend went to one recently and it was basically just a camping trip. They fished, cooked out, etc. Mark says that is so boring, that's nothing you can't do while you're married. I mean, I'm not all about wanting my future husband to go out and have a ton of strippers all over him, but at least go out and get a little crazy with your friends. It just seems pretty boring to me to not do something big for a bachelor or bachelorette party. As long as you're not crossing the line of having fun with your friends and cheating, then you should go out and have a great time since it's the last big party as a single person! Some of you had some good points for Anna...like how do you know Ray's not lying about these bachelor parties and just saying they are in the woods when really they're in Vegas or something?

So we all know how much I hate (er LOVE) Mondays! But today was a pretty good/fun Monday. We had an intervention today...and it was all about smack talkin'. Ashley's bestie, Christy, always talks smack about everyone else... but had enough of it when she found out Christy was talking smack about her and her sweet boyfriend. Ashley called us to intervene and boy did the smack talkn' hit the fan.

Today was the Day Mark and I found out if I made it to the Top 10 of Regis and Kelly's Women of Radio Co-Host for a Day Search..... I was so nervous/excited... then I started freaking out because I would have to buy a new outfit if I were selected. (Yea you can roll your eyes here... but this is how women think! Lol) Well turns out I can save my $$ because I did not make it to the Top 10... :( BUT I want to take this chance to thank everyone who voted for me... and HEY at least I made it to the Top 100!! YAY ME!

Everyone knows that for me (Anna) my favorite day of the week is FRIDAY!!!! Mainly b'c we open up the U-Stream and our U-Stream Viewers get a "Behind The Scene" look at us... That's when we let our viewers hear everything Mark and I say to each other off the air. Today Mark and I tried something new.... "You Pick The Topic!" We had three different topics and we let you choose which one we should talk about. (UTI's and Yeast Infections {Gross}, Relatives You Don't Want To Stay With, and Trey Dated His Step-Mom) Amanda was our first "You Pick The Topic" caller and she picked Relatives You Don't Want To Stay With... and Mark told the story of which relative he won't stay with when visiting. That would be his DAD! When the fam goes to NC to visit his dad they won't stay there b'c he lives in an unsafe part of town and a crow broke into the house and pooped everywhere!! We then went on to Trey Dated His Step-Mom.... (He didn't really date his step-mom). They went out for sushi and the waiter thought they were together so he brought their food out in a shape of a ♥ oh and also brought them ice-cream with one bowl and two spoons. A nurse called in and wanted to talk about UTI's and Yeast Infections { Again, gross} so I told her that I had one all week(been treated fyi) and the pain was so bad that if we wanted to torture the Taliban we should all give them UTI's! lol What a crazy but fun Friday we had!!!
