COX RADIO, INC. is looking for a full-time Account Manager for WAPE-FM

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Cox Radio – Jacksonville’s WAPE is Contemporary Hit Radio and has been in the market since 1958. We are a marketing resource dedicated to helping businesses grow. As a WAPE Account Manager, you will be highly compensated for your performance as you work closely with agencies, local business owners, and decision makers to create and implement advertising and marketing campaigns using the station’s resources, including but not limited to commercials, promotions, event marketing, internet, marketing strategy model analysis, creative problem solving and account strategy development sessions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop long-term relationships with new and existing WAPE customers – both advertising agencies and local businesses. Uncover customer’s marketing challenges and develop solutions that may help them meet their goals using our radio station’s resources. Candidates must be able to work independently, while taking direction from the sales management team. The position requires the ability to talk in front of individuals or groups in a selling capacity. You will also be responsible for prospecting and developing new business, selling station events, and selling station website advertising.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have completed high school or its equivalent. A college degree is preferred (Marketing or Communications a plus). Preferred minimum two years radio sales experience, with working knowledge of agency business, direct business, event sales and internet sales. Applicants should have a solid working understanding of computers, with some experience using word processing software, spreadsheets and database management software such as found in Microsoft Office. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate their ability to communicate information both verbally and in the form of written presentations.
