Oops! Microsoft made a $10 million dollar mistake and is now trying spin the news of the blunder. I reported a month back that Microsoft hired Jerry Seinfeld to star with Bill Gates in the company's new $300 million advertising campaign. After just two horribly unfunny commercials, Microsoft says they are entering phase two of the plan which will not use Jerry. Funny thing considering they said a month ago that they planned a full campaign with Jerry to get their $10 million worth! A Microsoft PR big wig swears now that a Jerry-free phase two was part of the plan all along. Yeah right!

Paris Hilton has no one to blame but herself after two of her Chihuahuas were allegedly eaten by coyotes earlier this week. We've long known that Paris is a "pet collector" who has more than 10 dogs, a monkey and other mammals. Paris is a well-known nuisance in her Beverly Hills neighborhood, where she often ignores her dogs, lets them roam the streets and loses track of them. As for the coyote attack, according to X17online, Hilton didn't find the dogs' bodies until the next day. No word on whether one was the infamous Tinkerbell. For the record – Paris’s reps say they dogs are still alive and this is an internet hoax.

Entertainment reporter Pat O'Brien is out of a job... again. The former host of "The Insider," who was demoted to a correspondent after several drunken rampages and stints in rehab, sent out an e-mail Monday to the entire "Insider" and "Entertainment Tonight" staff dogging his replacement. The e-mail said "Insider" host Lara Spencer's segments on the show make viewers "want to vomit." O'Brien was fired yesterday, and a rep for "The Insider" confirmed he's out. Sounds like he may have also fallen off the wagon. Drunken e-mailing is never a good idea, kids!

According to Billboard.com, Mariah Carey will not release any more singles from her latest album E=MC². Def Jam Records has put the kibosh on the next single, “Migrate.” There is speculation it may have to do with poor sales. Compared to her previous CD, The Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah’s current disc has under-performed selling one third of the sales numbers of Emancipation. Looks like Nick Cannon waited too long to ride this gravy train!

Katie Holmes made her much anticipated Broadway debut last night. Holmes and her husband Tom Cruise were greeted by more than 100 anti-Scientology protesters at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City. They arrived to chants of "Scientology kills!" but still smiled for photographers outside of the venue.

Bravo may lose another award winning reality show to another network. On the heels of "Project Runway" going to Lifetime, there's buzz that Kathy Griffin might take her "Life on the D-List" to a greener pasture. Other networks are reportedly wooing Kathy for a multitiered deal, which would include hosting a late-night talk show, covering the red carpet and continuing her reality show and comedy specials. Griffin is expected to make a post-Emmy announcement.

Denise Richards may be sorely disappointed very soon. Recently, Denise was "telling anyone who would listen" that her reality show is being renewed. But sources say that isn't likely. E!'s "Denise Richards: It's Complicated" has hemorrhaged viewers since the first episode, and is on the chopping block.

It's finally over. the ugly divorce between baseball star Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia has been finalized just two months after he was accused of having an extra marital affair with Madonna. Cynthia blamed her husband's "long period of infidelity" for wrecking their marriage, and accused him of "emotionally abandoning" her and their children. In her divorce petition, Cynthia Rodriguez demanded the couple's $12 million waterfront estate in Coral Gables, Florida. On Thursday, the former couple announced it had finally settled the multimillion-dollar divorce case - but details of the settlement have not been made public.

She may have been voted off of American Idol, but Kellie Pickler is not suffering. Kellie will team up with Ryan Seacrest to co-host Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve this year.
