The family that does meth together... well, gets arrested together. Ryan O'Neal and son Redmond were BOTH booked on suspicion of narcotics possession yesterday. Authorities were doing a probation search at the family's Malibu home when they found methamphetamines in Redmond's possession and a vial of the drug allegedly in Ryan's bedroom. Father and son are being held on $10,000 bail. It was just a couple of months ago that Ryan's daughter Tatum O'Neal was arrested buying meth on the street in New York City.


Miley Cyrus could get her wish to star in a Sex and The City movie or TV show. Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell is writing two new novels -- aimed at the teen market -- based on Carrie Bradshaw's life in high school. The first of “The Carrie Diaries” will hit store shelves in 2010. The books will revolve around friendships and romances and Carrie's pursuit of her dream to be a writer.

BTW – The Sex and the City movie comes out on DVD Tuesday!

Speaking of Miley – she has signed on to star in an upcoming Disney film that does NOT have anything to do with Hannah Montana! The movie is being tailor-written for Miley by Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook, Message in a Bottle and A Walk to Remember. Disney must be in a big hurry to get this to the theaters, they have Sparks writing the novel and the screenplay at the same time!


Just to whet your appetite for the new season, Paula Abdul has been talking about the addition of the fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi, to American Idol and how it will change the process. She revealed yesterday that in the case of a tie, Simon Cowell would have the deciding vote this season. Paula also says thus far, the judges are NOT impressed with the talent at auditions for this season.


It got a little awkward on the set of "House" recently when the script called for Drs. Chase and Cameron to get romantic and kiss... again. See, Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison were a couple in real life -- til last season. The ex-couple admits the kissing scenes this season were more than a little awkward and they chose not to actually kiss in rehearsals. Spencer says the their relationship woes helped in the tense scenes. Can't wait to feel the discomfort!!!
