Kris Gamble has been working in radio since her first year in college. Kris wasn't content with just working an air shift on her college radio station, so she also worked at the local commercial station, WRNJ in Hackettstown, New Jersey. There she was truly a Jack of All Trades: filling in doing news and as a DJ. Meanwhile, she found she could use her assignments as a radio news reporter to also file reports as a stringer for the Newark Star Ledger newspaper and several bylines in the Hackettstown Gazette. Although she set a goal to work in a major market by the age of thirty, Kris fulfilled her dream by twenty years old when she took a job as a helicopter traffic reporter for Shadow Traffic Philadelphia.
She moved on to reporting traffic in Washington, DC until 1991, when she accepted her first co-hosting position on a morning show. Kris joined the team at Star 104.5 (WYXR-FM) in Philadelphia and helped make the station number one both as a morning show personality and then as a midday show host.
In 1994, Kris took on a whole new challenge: Sports! Accepting a job with CBS at Sportsradio 610 WIP in Philadelphia, Kris was the first full-time female sportscaster on Philly radio and one of the first women in the country. From there, Kris moved her sports casting career to Miami and accepted a job in television as a full-time sports reporter on WFOR-TV.
Morning radio was always Kris's first love, so she decided to venture back into the fun in New Jersey at WBBO in 1999. It was there that she was teamed with new co-host, Mark Kaye, thus forming one of the most important partnerships of her entire life. Mark and Kris took their amazing, instant chemistry to Washington, DC to the newly formed HOT 99.5 and took the station to number one by 2006.
From there, Mark and Kris took their Morning Mess south to Jacksonville, Florida to join the legendary Big Ape!
