1. What an Iconic Comeback! Celine Dion to perform at the Olympics!
What a way to comeback! Celine Dion will perform Friday during the Olympics opening ceremony . . . and she’s being paid $2 million!!!
They’re also footing the bill for travel and accommodations for Celine and her family. My only concern is her voice because if you’ve seen any footage from her recent documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, then you know her voice was struggling to carry a note. It was truly heartbreaking.
This will be Celine’s first performance since she stepped away from the stage in 2022, after being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome. Hopefully they will allow her to prerecord on a good day and she will play that track as she “sings” at the Olympics! We don’t need an Icon going out like Ingrid Andress.
2. Breaching whale crashes onto boat in Portsmouth Harbor, sending fishermen into water!
A breaching whale crashed into a boat Tuesday in Portsmouth Harbor, capsizing it and sending two people into the water.
Video captured from another boat showed the whale smashing into the vessel. The Portsmouth-based Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation identified the whale in the video as a humpback whale. This is wild!
3. Gen Z Suddenly Enjoying “Office Culture”: ‘Like Being in School Again’
Gen Z is different for sure. After a few years of being able to work remote, this generation wants to be at the office! A report found that only about 11% of Gen Z workers would prefer to be fully remote, compared with 34% of non-Gen Z. If I had the option of being in the studio or doing my show from the beachside of Jamaica baby you would hear “YA MON” every time I did the Big 3! Gen Z on the other hand loves the office because it feels like they’re back at school! I totally understand that. I had a cubical my first job and I needed that schedule (that I never followed). It’s a cool experience but trust Gen Z you’ll get over it by December.
