Just when you thought food mashups had done it all… someone said hold my oyster.
A seafood spot in Charleston, South Carolina is going viral after introducing a dessert that’s either genius or an actual war crime: Sm’oysters — a mashup of s’mores and oysters. Yep.
The creation comes from Fleet Landing, a waterfront restaurant that wanted to try something nobody else was doing. And they nailed that, because absolutely nobody was out here begging for dessert oysters.
Here’s what a Sm’oyster is:
- An oyster on the half shell
- Topped with Hershey’s chocolate, crushed graham cracker, and a mini marshmallow
- The marshmallow gets torched on top like a real s’more
The idea originally started as a Thin Mint–inspired oyster (because, why not?) — but the manager says this version hits better. Even though the video of someone trying it ends with that classic “mmm” face you make when you’re lying through your teeth.
Would you try it? Or is this one of those “nah, I’m good” moments? Here’s a video of them, just for proof.
