Jekyll Island, Ga. — The Georgia Sea Turtle Center reported some good news on its Facebook page.
Its research team documented the first sea turtle nest to hatch this season.
It happened on Jekyll Island and was the first in the state of Georgia, according to the Sea Turtle Center.

Hatchlings that didn’t quite make it to the water were safely moved closer to the sea by researchers.
