JSO arrests two suspects for attempted murder of law enforcement officer (Jacksonville Sheriff's Office)

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says two suspects have been arrested for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer after one of their SWAT team members was shot while trying to serve a warrant on Monday in the area of Rutledge Pearson Drive and Ken Knight Drive.

JSO says as a result of that investigation, the two suspects, 28-year-old Anthony Gantt and 28-year-old Diamonds Ford, have also both been arrested for armed possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

The officer who was shot continues to recover at home, according to police.

WOKV told you on Monday that the officer was shot multiple times in the vest, which Sheriff Mike Williams says likely saved his life.

The officer did return fire during the incident, but no one else was hurt.
