Jacksonville, Fl — One of the area’s largest school districts is trying to make fewer changes, and bring more consistency, as it adjusts to education during a pandemic. The St. Johns County Schools Superintendent says they will no longer move students to school-based distance learning unless there is a unique high risk health factor.
Tim Forson says the the district will always accept students returning to campus for brick and mortar instruction, but it may take some time to transition them back. And students currently enrolled in St. Johns Virtual School are expected to remain there until January.
Parents of distance learning students can expect to receive a survey soon, asking their plans to return to the brick and mortar classroom.
