Jacksonville FL — This Tuesday, volunteers will be needed for the annual cleanup at Duval County beaches after the 4th of July holiday. The event runs from 7 AM until 9 AM and advanced registration is not required for you to get involved. Bags and gloves will be handed out at three locations: Atlantic Beach at the ocean, Beach Boulevard at the ocean, and Seagate Avenue at the ocean.
If you are planning on going out, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your own sunscreen and water.
Last year, we’re told hundreds of volunteers collected 150 bags filled with 3,000 pounds of debris.
